I missed the game but it sounds like Bouchard, who is having a worse season than Nurse as I have said before and will say again until he isnt, and Skinner wear the goat horns - again.....stop me if you've heard this before.

Nuge has been brutal. I like the player but he is playing in a fog.
Calling him Casper is spot on.

The team as a whole is 20th in the NHL for goal scoring.
That isnt nearly good enough and Nuge's play is part of the reason for that.

Going into the season, I really thought that the top 6 would easily outshine the inconsistent goaltending but it hasn't really been the case.

Nuge, J. Skinner, and to some extent the Aardvark have all been disappointing.

Hyman has been playing well but lady luck has not been on his side.

The bottom 6 have had a few good moments but nothing that is consistent enough.

The puck was above pad level. Looked to me to be about 10-12 inches off the ice...just above the pad.

It wasn't. It rose by the time it hit the post, but if Skinner's square instead of doing some weird half butterfly guessing game it hits him right here just by being in the butterfly.

I completely forgot about that tbh. I'm not usually one to turn against players but there's no defending this goof anymore. It's quite clear to me that we got to the final last season in spite of Skinner. We almost lost to the Canucks in the playoffs because of him. He is bad... like, astonishingly awful.

That shot is a goal 90% of the time. If you are going to fault a goalie it certainly shouldnt be on a shot like that.

It most certainly isn't. There are many shots that happen in an NHL game where they would go post and in but are stopped on a routine save because the goalie plays the angle right.

Accountability doesn't apply to our "Pavelski". He is the most overrated player in the league. Just have him enter his Malhotra era and stick him on 4C

I'd love to see how he'd turn out on another team not stapled to Mcdrai. Guy drives zero offence. He has his good qualities but he is severly overrrated and it's funny on these boards when things go bad he is one of the first under the bus but when things are good Ole' Nuge is almost as important as McDrai according to some

I don’t think that’s as cut and dry as your making it out to be. That looks right on the cusp of being over the pad anyway.

Arvidsson didnt play tonight and I heard that he has been nursing something.
He at least has been good on the forecheck.

Jeff Skinner and Nuge have been junk all over the ice. IMO.

I agree with you too that a big reason for the lack of goal scoring has been bad luck. It cant continue.

Rodrigue was brutal in camp and preseason, so yah maybe he is worse

Maybe he is. But he’s got great AHL numbers, won’t know unless we try him.

f***ing get rid of him before playoffs please. Trade the other Skinner to open up even more cap space as we will need both a 2RD and a starting goalie.
