Glad that one is over. Flames need the break.
Must be nice to have a couple of superstars on your team like the Avs.

Flames have screwed up their script. They're supposed to suck eggs the 1st period and then slowly grit their way back into games. Not nearly a talented enough team to play 25 minutes and hope to win against good teams. Outpaced, outplayed, and severely outcoached in the final 40.

Saw a lot of really dumb passes and very poor puck skills from the team in red tonight. Hanley and Bean were awful and Backlund must be injured or something. Coronato has hit a wall I think, take him away from Backs and Coleman and stick him with Kadri and Hubes. I would also stick Marty as the 4th line C and just have them be a havoc hit everything that moves line.

Liked: Frost has a lot of creativity, good zone entries, still lacks some make sure in his game. Hubes, Kadri, Weegar, didn't have much of a problem with. Wolf gave em a chance, that 2nd period could have been even uglier.

we're 4 points out of bottom 10 I think, it's definitely doable.

Coming out of the break we play Washington, Carolina, Florida, Tampa and San Jose. Could easily be back to faux .500 by the beginning of March.

Team can't score to save their lives.

Hard to tank though when literally everyone below us is total shit. We'll see if Vancouver shows up down the stretch because they're the only team close enough (we're actually tied) to take the final WC spot.

We were basically in a playoff spot this time last year.

Ready for the Flames' yearly fade in the spring melt. The more things change the more they stay the same

We just don't have the horses playing against top teams who are playing their A game.

Canucks are 5-1-1 in their last 7 btw

Some people are saying Allvin dealt the wrong guy, but I’m saying they’re suddenly rolling with

Quinn - Hronek
M. Pettersson - Myers
E. Pettersson - Mancini
Soucy

which is miles better than what they were rolling with a week ago, and light years better than what the Flames are rolling with now. The way he flipped that pick to Pitty real quick and dumped off Desharnais for M. Petey and character guy O’Connor, and then signs Marcus to an extension with a reasonable hit, all inside of a week, I mean you gotta tip your hat to him. I’m usually the first one to roast Allvin, but he sure made some damn boss ass moves when he had to. The Canucks are a team to worry about moving forward.
