How'd I know Marner wasn't gonna score on that breakaway.

I've never seen anyone blow so many one-on-one's with the goalie as he has. To be fair he wasn't the only one tonight to do so. The difference is Marner earns a helluva lot more than pretty much anyone else on the team.

For what he demands to be paid he should be putting those away every time.

McMann is probably my second favourite Leafs player. So I was glad to see him score tonight. My favourite player is Knies and he got another one too.

They both have more goals on the season than Marner now.

Stolarz is a much better goalie than I thought he would be. If he can keep it up the Leafs will have one of the best tandems for the playoffs. This is the first time in the Matthews era where goaltending hasn't been a major concern.

Goal scoring seems to be a bit of a problem instead.

The story for the Leafs this season will ultimately be the Stolarz/Woll tandem. This is a rare, old-school goaltending duo who are both excellent goalies and they appear to be positively reinforcing one another to team success.

Brad is going to have a challenging deadline but I have confidence in he and Berubes vision of the team. Unlike other years, I can't say with confidence who would be the right pick ups, I do know that players in the Knies/McMann mold should be on the wish list.

Another strong D man? All of this might be too much to ask, at least this year, considering the Leafs available assets at the moment.

Fastest Leaf ever to 500 assists, third fastest currently active player. Ya man, he sucks.

--------------------------------

Stolarz was excellent in his return, and the team in front scored enough goals to put it out of reach early, and then held on well enough. Knies... he really has been playing chippy, and I love it. He's lucky he didn't have more trips to the box, but Karma got us with the Matthews call. Good effort, and I'll take the two points. A bit tough getting up this early, after watching the game, but it's Friday.

After the third goal I put my iPad on the nightstand and fell asleep….sounds like I didnt miss much.

Stolarz picked up where he left off.

McMann will be key to any playoff success they have.
