I think Lashley would have eventually made it to main event level in WWE if he didn't quit. EC3 is someone I am very surprised they gave up on seems like a vince kind of guy....that's why i hate seeing WWE rush people to the roster like Apollo Crews someone with alot of potential, but not ready and now is going to be stuck low on the card

The plan is to keep giving regular updates on Finn's injury status to keep him hot as they plan to keep pushing him when he returns.

Last thread brought up Cena wasn't on break filming American Grit. He was in the dark main event for SD tonight (Roman was there for it as well) so it appears he is still touring and working for now.

This is just me speculating but since he isn't on break, and they seem to be taking steps to keep the feud with AJ fresh from AJ's stuff tonight, maybe we see the renewal of their feud post Backlash and going into Survivor Series?

He'll be gone. He's filming in October and gone for the rest of the year after that.

Looking more and more like Daniel Bryan will make an in ring debut.

No it's not. Nothing has changed that would convince them to now clear him when it's been a year and a half or whatever. Their lawsuit is still there so they're still worried about that and they don't want to deal with it.

If anything last night showed he isn't coming back.

They spun Miz's shoot into a promo on the crowd and into a feud with Dolph moving it away from DB

DB also confirmed he isn't coming back and has his growing family to consider.

No doubt DB is still really torn over his retirement but I see nothing to indicate this company would let him back in the ring.

If Daniel Bryan was going to risk his life and get back into the ring it wouldn't be to fight The Miz.

Come on.

Per Meltzer, ADR was promised a main event babyface run and Paul Heyman was going to be his manager instead of Zeb Colter. McMahon and ADR were fine at first, flying and traveling together, but Vince eventually moved on to a new toy and ADR was left to flounder in the LON.

Also noted that the DB/Miz bit was never ever going to lead to an actual match, and just was a way to get heat on Miz and his feud with Dolph and beyond.

Sounds to me like WWE made him a lot of promises to bring him back, and then put him in the mid card after he publicly ripped the company

“Very little, so I just knew that Miz was going to come up, we were just going to banter back and forth. But Miz and I have known each other for a long time, and we really know how to get like at each other’s nerves. I brought up the idea that he wrestled like a coward, and he knows I don’t like the way he wrestles, right? I just don’t like it; it’s not my thing. And I called him out on that. And then he called me out on something that’s very personal to me.†Bryan said.

Bryan said Miz knows he’s constantly having feelings of wanting to get back into the ring because he loves wrestling so much. But Bryan says he knows it’s not a smart idea and his wife keeps him in check. Bryan reiterated his words from this week's edition of Talking Smack, saying he sometimes thinks Miz is right and he thinks of himself as a coward for not returning to wrestling.

Bryan noted that part of him wanted to punch Miz in the face during the segment, but he figured it wasn’t such a smart idea on live TV.

Coachman asked how the two move forward, and Bryan said it would be interesting to see. He said he thinks WWE will keep them away from each other for a little bit because they know how intense it can get between the two of them, especially now that SmackDown is live.

There it is, sounds like it was pretty much a shoot

So that is DB himself on Insider, Observer, and SI.com all confirming that the intention was never to tease a potential DB match with Miz and DB isn't coming back.

It's dead, Jim.

- Cody Rhodes sent out a tweet telling WWE to cut ties with TMZ (they ran his mother's 911 call) and with ESPN (insulted a child) saying mainstream isn't always worth it.

- Daniel Bryan's WWE contract ends in 2018. It was frozen when he was off TV and inactive, but now that he's on as general manager and the Cruiserweight Classic, it's active again. Bryan has admitted to talking about wrestling elsewhere but Brie talks him down because they're about to start a family.

- Ryback did an interview where he said he was caught off guard by WWE putting the IC Title on him last year because of the way the relationship was at the time, but almost immediately after winning the title, WWE offered him a new contract and he knew why they put the title on him. He said he and HHH had heated conversations - Ryback would say it's not about the money and HHH would respond that it sounds like it is about the money. Ryback claimed it was about creative and his brand, and working two-minute matches with no heat, PPV matches with no build, etc. did nothing for him or his "Ryback Brand" or "Feed Me More Brand".

Ryback claims Vince McMahon also lied to him in regards to merchandise and creative, the last one being where Ryback claimed Vince said Ryback would be the top heel and have a World title run if Ryback listened to Vince and read his promos word-for-word. A new contract was offered, but Ryback waited to see if Vince would follow through. A week later, Ryback's opponent shifted to Kalisto.

Snippets from the WOL today.

- Alvarez says with Raw going head-to-head with MNF, there will probably be periods where Smackdown's viewership is higher.

- Alvarez said Bryan/Miz from Talking Smack was a work that turned into a shoot, coming off the heels of Bryan's ESPN interview where Bryan said it started with banter (that was all Bryan knew was going to happen) but Miz pushed his buttons and took it to the next level. Alvarez still blames Bryan to some degree for calling Miz a coward, but Miz takes some blame as well because Miz took "coward" personally towards Mike Mizanin rather than The Miz character. Alvarez said Bryan added to it, though, by saying Miz works a soft, cowardly style which was a shot at Mizanin. Then Miz went off. Bryan said he thought about punching Miz in the face but they were on live TV so Bryan just woke off set.

Everything about them not being allowed to be on camera together is a work, obviously. They built up to a match that obviously can't ever happen so Vince is shifting the heat to someone else to build up a new Miz program.

On a side note, in another interview, The Miz admitted that if he had a chance to do it, he would have loved to have worked the Indy scene with the likes of Bryan, Punk, Joe, etc. back in the day. After The Real World, he was signed to WWE after Tough Enough.

- Meltzer confirmed the Forbes article is pretty much ******** and WWE is not going to clear Daniel Bryan. The only difference about Daniel Bryan now and a few days before his retirement is that his contract is active again and expires in 2018 compared to it being frozen before he was on TV again. [SO STOP CITING FORBES AS A SOURCE.] Meltzer says he gets the feeling Bryan will never wrestle again and won't in WWE, but theoretically he could work when his contract is up. There could be huge legal ramifications if WWE decided to let him wrestle again and he developed problems worse than before down the road.

- Bo Dallas wasn't at Raw on Monday. He's still with the company, but he's being punished.

- Pro Wrestling Illustrated named Roman Reigns the #1 wrestler in the world.

- Just the thought of Brock Lesnar vs. Shane McMahon makes Bryan Alvarez sick.

- Alvarez just confirmed that Wrestlemania 32 was supposed to be The Undertaker vs. John Cena but Cena got hurt, so Shane was the replacement. That was the only reason that match ever happened.

Am I missing something big here?? What's the ESPN comment on??

That stupid idiot who sits on on Dan LeBeatard's show and said someone should tell Kevin Owens' son that wrestling is scripted, which is supremely rich of ESPN given their sudden interest in WWE.
