Umm because it's way more fun to discuss Crosby than discussing a minor trade like picks for Drew O'Connor lol..

I'd love to somehow get Drury from Colorado now but I imagine they wanted him for center depth.
 
If Crosby wanted to leave he can go the Dubas and say ask to be traded and what teams are acceptable. Dubas can either make a deal or tell him there were no acceptable offers

Yeah, IF Sid requests the trade, he's not going to let the other team get him on the cheap. He'd only go if the deal.made sense for the Penguins. You might laugh, but I'd bet dollars to donuts that's true.

IMO he would be stupid to do that. If he was on an expiring contract and could return to the Penguins next season that would be smart. Since he isn't he should care more about his new team being as good as possible while he is there.
 
If moving Rantanen was to make room to reunite the Cole Harbour besties, then get it done, Crosby to the Avs.

You would probably be surprised to see a good chunk of the Penguins board happy to see Crosby get off of this current team/FO and have another opportunity to cement his legacy.

Hell, he’s one of the very few reasons this team is even hovering around 500 this season. It would actually be a win win for the Pens. They would bottom out next year for potentially McKenna while getting to watch Crosby on a competent team.

Toronto's been better at goal this year than Jarry has been, they can't afford him, and the little space they do have is likely reserved primarily for a 3rd line C. Despite goaltending injuries, in no way does a Jarry trade make sense for them.
 
Mittelstadt + Necas for JT Miller + 1st round pick.

Boeser - Pettersson - Necas
DeBrusk - Mittelstadt - Sherwood
Joshua - Blueger - Garland
Hoglander - Suter - Heinen

It could work.
