Manson sees out his contract, thanks.

Manson is a god-damned donkey and while I don't have a lot of energy left, I will fight for this... He's a gamer (and MY donkey)... He will at some point make a difference for the Avs in playoff games. He will at some point, drive me mad as well... but his good in the playoffs dramatically outweigh his negatives.

What more can you really ask of a player?

I mean at this point Mitts has still been far better here than Byram has been in Buffalo.
How is that? I haven't watch BUF but Bo's stat line of 20pts in 37gms +6 and 23+min a night is quite respectable compared to the complete no show that Mitts has been for half a season.

Can anyone clarify that narrative that I have been reading repeatedly on here?

Well maybe I’m wrong, it’s probably closer to a wash with Mitts last run. But even then Bo’s been fine offensively, but he’s not been good defensively. He’s at 47% on the year in xGF%, SCF%, and HDCF%. Which tracks for how he’s been his whole career. Either does decent offensively or defensively. But can’t do it at the same time.

I guess the bigger question with Mitts here is, what’s the cause of Mitts drop off. Because from the playoffs and the start of the year he’s a completely different player. Is it injury? Mental health stuff? Because his drop off makes no sense to me.

Mittelstadt's played most of his best hockey in Colorado playing with grinders. For whatever reason, he doesn't seem to play as well with other skilled players.

Bednar is a pretty patient coach so this has been a long time coming.

His problems right now have nothing to do with his linemates. Having some grinders on his wings aren't going to magically stop him from getting pushed around and knocked off of every puck.

I don’t think any team is winning the Stanley Cup with 5 Finnish defensemen.

There’s like 2-3 good Finnish defensemen in the entire league.
We gonna get Heiskenen, Lindell, Ristolainen, Mikkola and Valimaki

Heiskenen and Makar top pair is enough to win the cup

Not a chance lol

Miro-Cale would be playing 40 minutes a night.

I dont think so.

Lindell is a fantastic Dman, a legitimate Top 4 guy and honestly probably more like a 2/3. He averages over 21 minutes a night for Dallas.

The guy who IMO has sneakily become really solid is Mikkola. He's become a legit Top 4 option for them, playing over 20 minutes a night.

The other guys are weaker, but I think Hakanpaa is a solid #6 type.

Honestly I would spread Miro/Cale out thinking about it more. Lindell could easily play the role of Toews' for Cale... Then you can pair Miro with Mikkola who can hold his own as a #4 especially with a partner like Miro. So you'd probably look like:

Lindell - Makar
Heiskanen - Mikkola
Maata - Hakanpaa

With Valimaki and Jokiharju as your #7 and #8? Man I think they could get it done honestly.
