That’s a good question. I think they have to break up the 3rd line.

Bottom 6 would probably be
Kivi - Kelly/Parssinen - Colton
Innala - Kelly/Parssinen - LOC

Don’t think they’ll move Colton to 4th line

With Bednar, we really don't have to commit to any specific line combos. They will be Blendnared at some point.

Which is one reason why I f***ing love Bednar, he isn't afraid to mix it up when it doesn't work. Too many fanbases around the league are frustrated with their coach just sticking to his lines despite it not working. With Bednar, all it takes is one bad period and he's making changes. f***ing love it.

Crazy that we signed CDH, Kylington, Ludvig and Brannstrom in the off season to fill the 5 and 6 D slots. But now both are being filled from guys that people expected to be on the eagles.

I don’t think anybody penciled Malinski in for the Eagles this year.

Even in the summer, he was penciled in at 3RD.

3LD and 7D was a battle between CdH/Kylington/Brannstrom. Brannstrom lost and was moved out. Ludvig was claimed when it was clear that Kylington was a disaster.

Bednar was very clear on Saturday. Mitts has to get himself out of this funk and it’s gone on far longer than the coaching staff expected or would’ve liked.

We need to win hockey games and putting Mitts out there for 17 minutes of absolutely nothing… can’t skate, doesn’t engage physically, won’t shoot the puck, is an absolute ghost other than giving the puck away… isn’t conducive to winning.

He needs to figure it out himself in limited minutes and regain the trust of the coaching staff.

I love the move.

Agreed. It’d be one thing if Bednar pulled a David Quinn and pinned him to the bench or immediately demoted him after one mistake, but this has been going on since early November. There was simply no other option.

And, lo and behold, he scored the game-winner last night.

If Mittlestadt doesn't snap out of this funk, you can kiss any champ aspirations this year good bye. And also a brutal way to lose Byram If he continues with this play. Of course I'm keeping the faith since we've seen what he can do. Just got to take it one game at a time and hope for the best.

I’m way more hopeful that Mitts will figure it out than I did Johansen about a year ago around this time.
