At this point IMO you just have to stick with Colton (or Drouin if he’s back Tuesday) and Mikko with Mitts and let him work it out. Theres no way Bednar should separate Mack, Nuke and Lehk right now or Kivi, Kelly and LOC. Relegating Mitts to the 4th line isn’t going to help things either.

He’s just going to have to work through it. If it’s still an issue in another month then you may have to change something up after seeing how Parsnip does

Mitts is definitely going through it and the only positive I can take from it is that it’s happening earlier in the season. I don’t know if he’s hurt or just completely done his head in but he sure doesn’t look like the player from last year or to start the season. I’m really only concerned if it’s due to injury, if it’s just a slump it’ll end sooner or later.

Looking at the stats now, he was good until around mid November.

The strangest thing is he was at his best when Lehky and Nuke weren't there so he had to play with bottom 6ers. I wonder if Bednar noticed this and it's why he moved both Lehky and Nuke with Mack.

I'm just very skeptical when it comes to players actually coming back from injury, I can't pencil in Drouin until he's physically on the ice for the game (where he promptly gets re-injured)

He's also a -17. I know it's a meh stat, but only 6 NHL players are worse than his -17.

From what Bednar said, he's well aware of what's going on and he's taking it pretty heavy at the moment. If you want to "demote" Mittelstadt, IMO it would be a wrong message paint it that way. It should be messaged clearly to him that it's to accommodate Pärssinen, that's it.

He used to do that, and I have a feeling he could that if Bednar gave him a small kick in the butt.

Reportedly the ask has been around 11.850-12.5M. And no, the Avs have not gone near that yet.
