Bednar said we played 3 good games on the trip, despite losing 2 of the 3.
He doesn’t acknowledge the PP as an issue.
He simply said we need to clean up our defensive side and take our chances offensively.

I dunno, I think he knows they're super fragile (shut up, Mary Poppins fans) right now. He was as harsh as he's ever been a few games before this, and it didn't really work except on maybe Mittelstadt. Now in the wake of the biggest trade of the year, one that shook up the entire frickin' league, he's trying his best to keep spirits up. Again, like the practice schedule, I don't necessarily think it's the right move, but I can see why they're doing it.
Second pairing guys are definitely not healthy and I'm certain the lingering ailments are rife throughout the lineup, they're just desperately trying to tread water until the Four Nations break.
Again, I don't agree with the strategy, I just think that's their mindset. There's 5 games and 10 points to chase before the Four Nations.
We can't go limping into that break; need to win at least 3 of those 5 games.

I know today is a travel day and therefore no practice, but I hope to God that we are practicing Thursday and a pre-game skate on Friday before the game.
If I read about some optional bullshit tomorrow, I'm going to lose my f***ing mind.
He's retired, best I can do is Miller:
He got absolutely pounded by Romanov. One of the worst concussions I ever had was from a chest to chest just like that. No head contact but because we were both moving at high speeds the impact caused it. Doc explained it to me as if you’re a passenger in a car and suddenly the car crashes, the car immediately comes to a stop but you don’t until you hit the windshield/roof or hopefully a seatbelt. Your head is the same way. If you’re moving at a high speed and suddenly your body stops, your brain continues forward and hits off the walls of your scull. You don’t necessarily have to hit your head.
Perhaps the doc was wrong in how he explained it but it always stood out ti me and I always remember it for plays like this. Cale was moving pretty fast.
Hopefully I’m just overthinking it but I immediately thought it last night and now can’t help but think it again.
Maybe he won't play in 4 nations and gets a rest, he can't handle hard minutes like Hughes and a few others canIt would be absolutely ridiculous if he wasn't picked by the spotter or if the Avs didn't do some quick checks themselves. He was right back out there after.
Fingers crossed for maintenance.
I spent way too much money for tickets and a weekend in Montreal for this kind of thinkingMaybe he won't play in 4 nations and gets a rest, he can't handle hard minutes like Hughes and a few others can
Sorry bud , hope he's fine. It would be a shame for him to miss that really.I spent way too much money for tickets and a weekend in Montreal for this kind of thinking
