Light week with two games; at home to Seattle tonight and back on the road Friday against Utah.

Sun, Dec 22 vs. SEA - 6:00 PM MST
Fri, Dec 27 @ UTA - 7:30 PM MST

Manson and Drouin in non-contact jerseys during today’s optional practice, neither will be back for tonight’s game. No sign of Wood, Kylington, or Landeskog yet.

Merry Christmas, you bunch of miserable bastards.

Key takeaways for me:

- Was asked about Colton and how he had stated when he came back that the plan was to eventually get him back on the top line. “Yeah, well, depends how he plays, right?” Doesn’t sound like he’s been too happy with Colton’s all around game since returning from injury.

- Says Manson is close and likely to get back in the lineup next game against Utah, but not back tonight. Drouin getting better each day but still not ready to return. Rest of the guys are all long-term.

- Team is pretty much over the flu bug, a couple of lingering things but mostly all healthy.

I like how we have better odds to make the playoffs than Stars and Mild

Honestly, if Nuke can stay in his D.A.R.E. Program and the team is somewhat healthy with the remaining schedule, they have a far better shot.

I feel like we have a Tendy duo who can actually steal a series or two as well.

I’m cautiously optimistic, but I hope they go balls to the wall at the TDL. Stack the f*** up and get a cup.

Pre-injury Colton was flying around the ice, hard on the forecheck, hitting everything and going to the net.

Since returning he's looked a tad slower, to be expected of course from a broken foot and 4 weeks of not skating.

That said, it doesn't help he's stuck with 37 who has been dog shit for two months.

Every time Bednar talks about Drouin he sounds like he doesn't have a clue. Someone the other day suggested that his UBI in game 1 might have been a concussion and I'm starting to buy that theory. That'd explain why he doesn't look injured at all when he's skating and why Bednar doesn't know when he's going to come back. Like he's having random headaches or something.

In my family the adults open gifts on Christmas Eve with some drinks after the kids go to bed, and the kiddos go wild on Christmas morning and open them then

This thread is all wrong. Putting tonight’s week ending game attached to next week and shaming people opening presents on Christmas Eve

In Poland, Christmas Eve is a million percent more important than Christmas Day.
It is in most of Europe I think. Britain, Spain, Netherlands, Italy and the Balkans open presents on Christmas Day. The rest, Christmas Eve is the day.
