At this point why georgiev over kahkonen?

Maybe let him play a few good games then ship him out?

Kahkonen hadn’t played a game in a long time and was sent to the Eagles for a conditioning stint.

He’s played 2 games down there, putting up a .919 sv% so far. He probably needs another week and 2-3 more games before coming up.

Meh...I suppose you are right if we are trying to develop him...but I just want the Avs to avoid playing Georgiev. He's garbage and while not an automatic loss, you know the guys are thinking they have to get 7 or 8 tonight to win just because of who is in net.

The hell you mean? We just faced off in a tough bitter 60 minute battle against the battle tested 3-recent Stanley Cup winning champ Hawks.
Seriously though, that's our last 9 games. Not a ton of playoff teams in there.

Most of them were at home, too. The Avs' October schedule must have been the easiest in the league.

I still think people oversold how easy it is/was and the results clearly show that.

Our defending once the other team gains the zone looks like shit all season. Bunch of cement skaters, can't stop chances from going from the boards to the slot, can't stop anything from the blue line.

Don't really care as much about Kahkonen/Georgiev/Juice as I do about the defence. Don't even blame Georgiev for that Hawks loss even though he's been bad in other games.

Mikko was the Captain of Finlands U20 championship winning team in 2016 with Kähkönen in goal.

Georgie was on the losing side.

The stars are so f***ing aligned let's go!!!

I get TJ Tynan stinks, but at least he knows how to play forward.

Why Bednar insists on Kylington playing forward when he's going to give him 2 minutes, probably give Steinburg 3 minutes and run 10 forwards while 29/96 play upwards of 27 minutes is insanity.

That's what I wish media would ask Bednar. Why he continues to kill top guys more than any other coach in hockey.

It is insane... those two play far more minutes that pretty much anybody else in the league and they aren't just the easy minutes either. Tonight, in a game that won't have much impact on the standings in April, he's likely to run those two into the ground. It may work for something like a 4-3 win, but odds are probably higher they lose 5-2 and still have that timeframe. It just won't help things.

I don't mean this as a slight to Ivan, he's played well, just not his abilities. A 22 year old, undrafted rookie who didn't put up .5ppg as an AHLer at 21, only had one season over PPG in the Q (still only good enough for 10th and came at 20), and never featured as an offensive guy for Czechia... a team not known for having a whole lot of offensive talent right now is on our top PP unit. That is a very sad state of affairs.
