At this point why georgiev over kahkonen?
Maybe let him play a few good games then ship him out?
Meh...I suppose you are right if we are trying to develop him...but I just want the Avs to avoid playing Georgiev. He's garbage and while not an automatic loss, you know the guys are thinking they have to get 7 or 8 tonight to win just because of who is in net.Kahkonen hadn’t played a game in a long time and was sent to the Eagles for a conditioning stint.
He’s played 2 games down there, putting up a .919 sv% so far. He probably needs another week and 2-3 more games before coming up.
First decent team we face in a long time.I have a feeling we get absolutely hammered tonight by Tampa.
6-1, 7-2 type game.
At least my wife will be happy. Happy wife, happy life.I have a feeling we get absolutely hammered tonight by Tampa.

Seriously though, that's our last 9 games. Not a ton of playoff teams in there. The hell you mean? We just faced off in a tough bitter 60 minute battle against the battle tested 3-recent Stanley Cup winning champ Hawks.
I still think people oversold how easy it is/was and the results clearly show that.Seriously though, that's our last 9 games. Not a ton of playoff teams in there.
Most of them were at home, too. The Avs' October schedule must have been the easiest in the league.
Maybe after the 1st periodI have a feeling we get absolutely hammered tonight by Tampa.

It is insane... those two play far more minutes that pretty much anybody else in the league and they aren't just the easy minutes either. Tonight, in a game that won't have much impact on the standings in April, he's likely to run those two into the ground. It may work for something like a 4-3 win, but odds are probably higher they lose 5-2 and still have that timeframe. It just won't help things.I get TJ Tynan stinks, but at least he knows how to play forward.
Why Bednar insists on Kylington playing forward when he's going to give him 2 minutes, probably give Steinburg 3 minutes and run 10 forwards while 29/96 play upwards of 27 minutes is insanity.
That's what I wish media would ask Bednar. Why he continues to kill top guys more than any other coach in hockey.
I don't mean this as a slight to Ivan, he's played well, just not his abilities. A 22 year old, undrafted rookie who didn't put up .5ppg as an AHLer at 21, only had one season over PPG in the Q (still only good enough for 10th and came at 20), and never featured as an offensive guy for Czechia... a team not known for having a whole lot of offensive talent right now is on our top PP unit. That is a very sad state of affairs.
