I've been saying Rodgers isn't washed lol. He's not an MVP caliber guy anymore and you shouldn't mold your franchise around him but the dude is still a good starter. I'll be zero surprised when he signs somewhere else next season without the hype and has a team excelling.

That Houston Oline is beyond bad. 8 sacks? Stroud is gonna get murdered by the end of the year.
The play calling is making it worse.

They’re not calling screens, not quick hit routes, etc. Just the same old have Stroud take a 5 step drop and survey the field hoping someone can beat the coverage. Which is even extra stupid when you’re missing your top 2 receivers.

Out of the darkness.....for tonight at least.

Slowik needs to be canned. He has been awful calling the plays this year.

Give me a good O-line and I'll give you a perceived good offensive play caller.

It's the only lingering question I have about Ben Johnson as a play caller. How will his play calling look when he's not scheming up runs and passing plays with the best O-line in the game?

houston looks so average

People overrate them because of their record, watch a game of theirs and it's apparent that they're getting steamrolled wild card weekend. The AFC is ass outside of the Bills/Chiefs/Ravens

Now we know why the Jets were favored in this game. Houston might be frauds. Had to win this game against a weak opponent.

They were favored cause the Texans were a bad 6-2 and the Jets were a good 2-6, Vegas isn't stupid. The Jets are probably 5-4 or 6-3 after this if they had a legitimate kicker and that's coming from a very pessimistic fan

I still can't believe players still do that dumb thing of dropping the ball right before crossing the line costing the team a touchdown. They literally couldn't wait an extra second before celebrating.

Might be hitting the pause button there on Bobby Slowik’s ascent to one of the NFL’s offensive geniuses.

Stroud only took 19 sacks last year, it’s up to 30 in half of one season.

Texans OL deteriorating like this wasn’t on the bingo card.

Great job Stroud

Now we have to listen all week about Rodgers and how they still got it….

But for Jets future this is the worst that could have happened. They’ll finish with around 7 wins and draft middle of nowhere and won’t sell enough because they believe

Houston really needed that win, they're remaining schedule is brutal and it's easy to see the Colts nipping them at the end even though Houston has the tiebreaker. I see them at 9-8 while Indy is 10-7

Still think they’ll get to 10 wins. They have Lions, @ Chiefs, Ravens which is brutal. The flip side is they get the Titans x2 and the Jags, plus what seems like an imminently winnable games at Dallas and against Miami. Their iOL is not viable though, and is going to get eaten alive by the good teams remaining on the schedule + in the postseason.

Here is some pseudoscientific nonsense to try to explain the psychology behind it:

In fight-or-flight situations, your vision cone gets more narrow (i.e. your peripheral vision gets reduced). Thus, a player sees less of the ground as he's running than he normally would during practice or whatever, and would therefore think he enters the end zone earlier than he does, which explains the consistent dropping of the ball on the one-yard line, instead of having the spread of dropped balls be distributed between the end zone and 5 yard line.

This is almost certainly not the actual reason why this keeps happening.
