A note for the Texans before they get the ball back…

Joe Mixon is averaging over 7 yards a carry tonight and had another big run called back. It’s okay to give him the ball a second time in a drive.

I always kind of hate when the defense is punished for making a great play too quickly. He caught it and went to tuck it…but it can’t be a fumble because the defender did his job too well and got the ball

Yea I'd like them to consider the attempted tuck to be the "football move" that's required in addition to 2 feet, but NFL catch rules are never going to be logical.

That was an excellent catch by Woods and a great toss from Stroud.

I think that should be a catch/fumble since he had it in control and then dropped it as he tried to tuck it.

But it won't be.

Under the old rules that could have been the outcome.

Current rules the receiver never made a “football move” with control of the ball. Simply taking a step with the ball before losing control would have been sufficient for a fumble.

Now we’re rolling.

I know I should be rooting for the Jets because Buffalo lost to Houston and need to get more losses on them…but I just think the Jets thing is too funny.
