Ok, and what about the team doctor? Why didn’t he object to Tua playing? What about Miami coaches and trainers?

This guy seems like nothing more than a scapegoat IMO.
Absolutely. I hope more shit will hit the fan from this. I just feel they did this because of what happened Thursday and are hopefully going to do more as things progress. (though I won’t hold my breath)

Bottom line, McDaniel is a piece of shit and should be suspended at the least. His mealy-mouthed defense of not having any idea! Followed the doc's recco! Tua said he was fine! Is the same business as usual bullshit that got the NFL/NFLPA here in the first place.
I'd call for worse if McDermott allowed this to happen to Allen and expect (who am I kidding, hope not expect) Beane and the Pegulas would do the same.

Sounds like we'll have Poyer, Jackson, Oliver, Morse, Bates, Knox, and Davis all playing. It honestly couldn't get much better than that.

I like our chances today simply because our defense is much better than the Ravens. Not a gimme game by any means, though. Just have to hope the weather doesn't interfere much!

Maybe no Oliver?

Not to reignite an earlier debate, but it's kind of wild to me they're seemingly comfortable with one of Neal (if you believe the depth chart) or Lewis (if you believe where they played in the past) being the only backup boundary corner. Give his strong showing last week, I would've preferred Ingram elevated and dressed for that purpose.

Dry right now, heavier rain expected in 2nd half per Sal.

Wonder if we see some Bernard today ?
I think it comes down to who you'd rather have matching up over Andrews, a LB or Taron Johnson.

Or maybe, they really blow our minds by rolling out a new personnel package where a third LB plays in place of a second safety. Poyer plays cover 1 center field and they keep a 3rd LB and 3 CBs on the field. Could be a "Get your best players on the field" situation if they like Bernard more than D. Johnson.

Boy is it frustrating Oliver has this lingering injury. I really believe he is going to take another step in his development. Hopefully the ankle injury doesnt hold him back for a while. I miss seeing that crazy push up the middle that he brings!

it's been three weeks, 3-4 weeks is about right on for a severely sprained ankle, ecspcially if it's a high ankle sprain. The Bill's training staff based on sports science do not push injury recovery time.

gotta attack the ravens safeties today. their pass rush will be weak. i think diggs and even a hobbled gabe could have big days. so glad dane and po are back but ed and phil being out are still huge losses on the inside of the DL. on the bright side it looks like shaq has been activated. i remember him being an ace when it came to containing lamar in previous matchups, so hopefully he ends up being a difference maker. we should win this game. the ravens have gotten a lot of hype but i honestly don’t think they are that good. go bills. excited to see how this one turns out

better to make sure he comes back at 100% too. we have the luxury of it being early in the year, no point in risking him getting even more banged up with such a favorable schedule after the bye.

The frustrating part of not having Oliver is that we also don't have Phillips. I think a lot of fans would be more on board with the "take it slow" approach if Phillips could go. But it's absolutely the right call--if he needs another week, he needs another week.

Jones has been fantastic for us this year which really helps.

Guess I won't be deleting my profile. I knew this would happen with Oliver. Goddamnit.

Good on Poyer for fighting through it. Obviously same for the rest of the questionable guys who are out there today.

We have a curse of not finding DTs who stay healthy. Beane tried to offset it this year by just bringing in 6 DTs but we need one reliable guy, I don't even care if he's just average, but one guy to play 14+ games.

Bills 34-Ravens 17

I think we're fine because of the offense but, again, would love to find a DT who could play real minutes if there's any still unsigned moving forward. Oliver has been a bit of a bust.

Do you think Oliver doesn't want to be out there? Do you think he is unwilling to "fight through it" as you say the other guys are doing? It is either he tried, as we saw during pregame and it isn't to the point that he can go or he was comfortable going but the medical staff said no because it would set him back or risk further injury.

This narrative you spin doesn't make sense to me and I trust the medical staff and player are making the right decision for the team and the player's health. Full stop.
