I gotta say , I'm looking forward to these NFC matchups. All 3 games should be legit fun. I have reservations that the AFC games will be any good.

Trey Hendrickson being the sack king is pretty impressive with how bad that defense was

This is going to be a deep cut that only a select few crazies will get…

But…

Hey Bengals…it’s ok to start selling tickets for your 2025 home games now
Jayden Daniels played a role in denying the Bengals the playoffs. That TD to Terry was called because the coaches knew Chase was going to score the other way if Washington didn't go for a TD.
Losing Mixon and that one Dlinemen hurt them as well.

houston not playing a saturday afternoon home game to open the playoffs?

gasp
Mainly because I think they won’t have the Chargers travel on a short week and Amazon won’t want it.

Amazon will get either PIT/BAL or GB/PHI. If it’s the latter, both games will go on Saturday.

Not sure how hot a take it is but McDaniel should be fired tomorrow as well. Time for new blood.
He likely bought himself a bit more rope by winning 8 games in a season where his QB missed half of it.

It wouldn't shock me if they still fired him but i find it to be incredibly unlikely.

As GKJ said earlier though; this is likely his last life, or so to speak.

47-24 is secondgami. Seattle beat Cleveland on December 3, 1978

Speaking of Seattle, 30-25 is thirdgami

Minnesota won in Green Bay on September 7, 2003

Miami beat the Jets on November 1, 2009

Speaking of the Dolphins and Jets, 32-20 is the 5th all time score. The Cardinals are losers of the last two, losing to the Steelers in October of 2011, then to the 49ers in 2013. Full circle.

Oh I don't think they will fire him, I just think they should. The owner is a total shithead.

Tua is a QB who needs help. So, McDaniel works well with him, so they will run it back again. How many great HC candidates are going to be out there who can also work with Tua?

Bears, Saints, Jets, Patriots have openings. Expect Jags to as well. The rest of the group, up in the air with Raiders, Cowboys, Giants. Doubtful, the Browns and the Watson mess, Titans, another first year guy who tried with a young QB he inherited in Levis.

Going to be at least 5 openings. Possibly 8 on the high end.

This to me is borderline Toronto Maple Leafs logic. Next year will be different, we promise!

I get the continuity aspect but in my outsider's potentially ignorant opinion it's time for the Dolphins to try something new.

Ben Johnson for one.

If he decides to actually leave Detroit and the Dolphins decide to can McDaniel i would have to imagine Miami would be at the top of the list for a bright offensive mind looking to make his mark as a head coach.

Tua would scare me as a HC due to his concussion history. Just a normal hit away from ending his career. Not sure I’d take that job. Ben is going to get paid wherever he opts to sign with. Should get better than the Matt Rhule $60 mill over 7 years.
