Week 18: The Darnold Testament

The Patriot Way was "have the GOAT at QB"

They convinced themselves it was more than that.
I think it's more so "Bob Kraft thinks Bob Kraft built all of that"

Brady obviously meant a lot but Belichick's defenses share equal claim in the run they had that were routinely near the top of the league for most of it.

He's lowkey turned into Jerruh but nobody notices since Kraft has actually won something in the last 30 years.

Right, but without having the stability at QB that Brady gave, Belichick's defenses are just decent defenses and he wins maybe 2 superbowls, 3 at the absolute most. Definitely not a situation of them being awful or bill being trash, but it's the difference between a very good sustained run and some sort of weird cultural thing where they had some secret winning mentality or system.
