zappe unironically gives them a better chance to win. DTR is not a NFL caliber QB and i guess starting him made the tank too obvious
This Browns front office loves their draft picks, so I’m actually surprised they’re letting Zappe get this start. I imagine it was due to any number of players on the roster whose futures as NFLers has been greatly threatened by what they got from Watson and DTR starting so many games.

Of the four Texans that made it, I feel only Stingley is deserved. I think both Mixon and Collins missed too much time to injury and Tunsil is a part of one of worst lines in the league while he himself gets flagged for false starts a ton, has to be near the top in the league.

Tunsil was shocking to me.

I expected Stingley as a starter and Hunter as a back-up. Surprised neither of our DEs made it.

Agreed on Mixon and Collins, both are PB caliber talent-wise but missed major chunks of the season. I'll take it anyway.

Bal needs to win to secure the north. Otherwise they open a window for Pitt to grab 3 seed.

Pro Bowl nods haven't meant shit since they moved the game (now...events or whatever) to from after the super bowl to before.

At least before it was a reflection of the best of the best in the NFL. Now you got guys like Tyler Huntley and Gardner Minshew as pro bowlers.
I always look at PB selections as only the ones who get in before the PO begin. Not afterwards to replace someone for the actual game.
But that’s me.

Stingley I feel is a lock for a first team all pro selection, he has been great all year.

Just resting their guys. Think I read that teams are only able to elevate 2 players off the PS to the main roster each week. So, most of those rested guys will dress for the game. But, would play very little.

And this is all because the Cowboys are operating like a poverty franchise. They'll play Lance to keep Cooper Rush from hitting his next $250k incentive.

I think it will be the other way.

Even if though, none of this compares to when Andy Reid sat Hugh Douglas in 2001 when he needed a half sack to trigger his contract voiding.

DTR is probably the worst QB I’ve seen take NFL snaps, non-Mike White/Nathan Peterman division.
jimmy clausen is up there. also, todd collins for the bears in that one game in 2010 or 11 where he threw for 30 yds and 4 picks but the bears still somehow won

Line is up to 20
Pretty hard for the nfl to have 2 interesting games on Sat that do not impact Sunday’s games. Cleveland had the toughest matchup of the 3 win teams as their opponent needs to win to secure home field otherwise they could end up on the road in week 1 of PO.

Not that it would matter either way but Browns should be fined for starting Zappe in this game. Clear tanking and subjecting us to this.
