If the last game of the year was between the Raiders and the Giants, what would the odds be on a tie? -200?
I think the only thing preventing it from being a tie would be the total incompetence of the teams to make it actually happen. One team would accidentally do something like give up a safety and the other team wouldn't be able to match.

In a related note, the Browns are benching Winston for DTR because Winston refused to stop throwing to defenders.

A side effect of this is the Browns will be more boring to watch for casual fans when you take away the Winston big play excitement where every snap could very well be a big play either way.

It's wild that at this point in time, the Raiders and Giants strength of schedule is high enough where any accidental win drops them from 1/2 to 7th in the draft.
If Carr doesn’t play for NO and it doesn’t sound like he will in week 17. Injury guarantee on his contract so they may not want to risk it in case their new HC doesn’t want him.

That would hurt less to lose tot he saints than if Carr was the QB.

Loved the Moss shoutouts yesterday throughout the game and broadcast.

Pretty boring game for the most part between the Vikings/Bears but a very enjoyable result. The Vikings defense looked great and offense picked it up when needed.

Nice seeing Turner finally pick up a sack. Kid has been working and working and getting better lately but not getting the results. Impressive bend around the corner for the sack yesterday.

Caleb looked really bad. Aikman was on top of it with some of his analysis. There were a few layups there for him but either he didn't see it or was just predetermined to get into scramble mode. He's regressing and probably needs this season to end ASAP for a reset.

Looks like I gotta change my upset pick . No way they can beat the Bengals now. With Winston in there , I envisioned a fun shootout where he picked apart that atrocious Bengals D ( and gift them a couple picks ) . Now? I fully expect Cincy to win comfortably.

Both the bears and jets their D units collapsed after their defensive HC was fired. So, more pressure on QB to produce without the D holding the fort and keeping it close.

Winston is who he is. Only 30/30 QB in NFL history. Denver game was the epitome of a Winston game. 497 yards and 3 TDS to browns receivers. 3 picks with 2 of them PIck 6's for like 170 plus yards going the other way. Net passing day would be just over 300 yards passing and 1 TD that he gave his team.

ATL won both games vs TB and yet somehow still trail them in the standings after week 15. Dal, Car, NO is what TB has to finish. NYG, WAS, CAR is what ATL has left.

Need a catch TB in total wins and use the tie breaker to claim the South.

Det/Min locked up a WC spot. GB is 1 win away to get to 11 wins and lock up a second one. Leaving Wash at 9 wins. Wash have Phi, ATL, Dallas left. Unlikely to see both SEA and LAR make it in the West as they meet in week 18 so 1 of them won't get to 11 wins.

Monster game between ATL and Wash in week 17.

Probably insane tie breakers if multiple teams end at 10-7 for WC3.

As someone who wanted Kirk gone for about five years and wouldn't have brought him back regardless of price, even I'm surprised at how badly it has gone. The physical tools have never been a strength but the injury combined with age seem to have diminished him greatly in a hurry. He looks done out there.

Cousins has weapons and a good OL. It's him who is not getting it done. Maybe Stefanski can do for him what he did for Flacco. Or Shanahan finally gets Cousins. Those are teams I could see Cousins waiving his NTC to go to. But, I do think ATL will have to pick up some of that $27.5 mill salary for 2025, which helps that team then absorb the $10 mill that will become guaranteed for 2026 (as that activates in March 2025). Get 1 year of Kirk for about $27.5 mill.

And maybe this was the kind of injury where Cousins next season will be back to what he can usually do. Or maybe this is the end of the road.
