Thank you Brownies. It would be a great week if the Ravens,Texans ,and Dolphins can lose for us as well. I'm not even going to bother wishing for a miracle Panthers W against the Chiefs. That ain't happening.

Tomlin with another masterclass on what not to do under 2 minutes left on defense. Timeout when the clock was already stopped after the penalty confusion (and I don't hate the decision to back them up when you're thinking it's a FG game in these conditions), then doesn't use the timeout to stop the clock after the 1st and goal play.
Felt *really* good to see the Steelers take an L instead of squeaking out the win like they’ve done so often even when their head coach is constantly stepping on rakes and they basically have 2 plays on offense (slam a RB up the middle or chuck a moon ball down the sideline to Pickens)

And yet...
Haha true but Steelers do this shit every year. I remember last year when they lost to the Cards and Pats in back to back weeks. Plus the Browns have owned them in Cleveland over the last 5 or 6 years or so. The Chiefs will utterly destroy the Panthers . If they don't and somehow lose then I will laugh myself into a early grave.

That Miami game the week after XMas is going to be a nightmare for Tua. Outdoors and very possibly in the snow/freezing temperatures. And it's at night. Awesome!

Bills fans need to @ Myles Garrett a ton leading into that KC game about how Chris Jones is way better.

:sarcasm:

I played around a bit with the playoff predictor.....setting up quite possibly the greatest week 18 ever conceived

The first ever Thursday flex has occurred. The Week 16 matchup between the Browns and the Bengals has been moved to Sunday and the Broncos at Chargers game will happen Thursday.

I bet he gets another 20-30 mil guaranteed to suck somewhere before settling into a backup spot.

So, this is actually an interesting thought experiment

I would argue Daniel Jones is probably a QB you want to insulate a young QB you just drafted. Like Flacco in Indy for Richardson and Darnold for McCarthy

The draft order is currently:

1. Titans
2 Raiders
3. Giants
4. Jacksonville
5. Cleveland
6. Dallas
7. NYJ
9 Carolina
10. Chicago
11. Cincy
12. Miami
13. Bucs

Now, Remove the teams who have a solid veteran QB signed next year (and the Giants)

1. Titans
2 Raiders
5. Cleveland
7. NYJ
9 Carolina
10. Chicago

The Raiders have Minshew under contract next year in a similar role, and Cleveland needs to deal with Watson. I mean, that leaves the Titans as a 1B to levis, NYJ as a insulator to whomever they draft or the backup to Young/Williams.

Not really a great market for a QB looking for a starting job, TBH. Most are pretty solidified or they have a young starter they want to play.

I suppose Jones could go to the Trubisky route and take a backup to an established starter like Allen and try to come out the other side to get another starting role

The 'fanbase' for Panthers fans here in Charlotte is pretty over Bryce Young. I wouldn't be surprised if they brought in Jones since he grew up down the road from the stadium and is the antithesis of Young in terms of physical ability.

You missed NE in your list, not sure off hand what Brissett's contract status is and too lazy to look it up.

If Jones wants a chance to play this year, the Cowboys make the most sense.

Looking forward to next year, I think backing up Tua in Miami would be an interesting career move. Given Tua's injury history, it would give him a chance to get some game action potentially.

While I think the JETS would be a good option for him, and probably for them, especially if they move on from Aaron, I don't think Jones would go back to pretty much the same market.

I wonder who they'll have as a coach next year. Maybe some offensive wunderkind (Ben Johnson) would try a reclamation with him, but I doubt they'd be drawn to that sorry franchise just because of the possibility of working with Daniel Jones haha.

I'm expecting them to hire Mike McCarthy, he's in the last year of his deal and the Cowboys will almost certainly let it run out without extending him. Hiring McCarthy to run it back with Rodgers seems exactly like a thing the Jets would do.
