This is 100% the right play. 2 minutes is plenty of time. Bad teams hurry too soon and leave too much clock and give up another score if they end up punting (or even scoring relatively quickly)

Nice to be up at half but Chiefs are the kings of being down for like 80 percent of the game then winning on the last drive. Gotta get up by two scores somehow

Don't get the criticism on the time management on that drive, they did exactly what you want to do, got points, and didn't give the ball back. Sure, TD would have been better than a FG, but nothing wrong with how they played that.
