Houston gets an upset win over Kansas State. That’s huge for the other teams with one loss. None of BYU, Iowa State, or Colorado play each other, which makes this divisionless conference shit stupid.

Colorado has a serious chance at being the #4 seed in the college football playoff
I'm very curious here. They also could get left out of the Big 12 Championship Game simply because they're not ranked higher.

I just wonder if ESPN is gonna be in the committee's ears, because Colorado has drawn big ratings. If they get in, whoever their opponent is will undoubtedly be the highest rated game. My instincts tell me they will lose again, but they say the same about Iowa State and BYU. However, if they beat Texas Tech, that's a team they beat that Iowa State lost to. Iowa State has the tougher schedule.

Big Noon going to Lubbock for Colorado/Texas Tech.

If Colorado ends up tied at x-1 in the Big 12 with Iowa St. or them and BYU, ranking has little to do with who goes to the Big 12 title game. It's not until the 5th or 6th tiebreaker that some 3rd party ranking is used to break a tie. Idk who would get in if they end up tied (maybe Iowa St. because they'd have 11 wins to Colorado's 10, which is also a tiebreaker down the list I believe), but their rankings in the CFP poll wouldn't matter.

My guess at the 1st CFP rankings would be these (top 4 are projected conf champs and byes):
1. Oregon
2. Georgia
3. Miami
4. BYU
5. Ohio St.
6. Texas
7. Indiana
8. Penn St.
9. Tennessee
10. Notre Dame
11. Boise St.
12. SMU
Alabama, LSU. Texas A&M, Mississippi, Iowa St., Colorado, Clemson, Kansas St. and Texas Tech with different levels of chances as well via either conference championship and/or at-large bid. Army, Tulane and UNLV look to be the other G5 teams with a shot as well. Washington St
is also still alive with an outside shot if Notre Dame and others stumble. Boise could also end up with a top 4 spot if they go 12-1 and the Big 12 or ACC was won by a 2 or especially 3 loss team.

I don’t think they’ll have Indiana over Penn State.

Maybe not, but they should. Penn St. hasn't beaten anyone really, and although Indiana hasn't either, they are undefeated and have looked much more impressive then Penn St. has. They'll likely continue to keep Indiana down while rewarding another undefeated team in Miami who has played a cupcake schedule and barely won 3 of those games.

Indiana gets the chance to play Ohio State, so it doesn’t matter that much. If they win that game, they’ll be going to Indy.

We’ve gotten to the point as a society where ppl can say whatever without any repercussions. I’m sure this was similar when you were growing up but the saying “talk shit get hit” used to be a thing lol.
I think “fighting words” are still a thing.. but if the instigator has a phone out recording you, most people (or at least those with something to lose) understand they’re signing up for an assault charge if they don’t exercise restraint.

Colorado has a clear path, win out and hope for BYU or Iowa State to slip up and not only have a chance at the BIG 12 championship but a playoff spot. Gotta give Deion credit, two years removed from a 1-11 season and he has this program on the upswing. They about to flip that 5 star QB from USC

Hypothetically, if they get the 4 seed. It probably means they face the loser of the SEC title game or Ohio state in the 4/5 match up. So unless the #8 is Bama and you get Bama/Georgia. That would probably be the highest rating game
