It's a whether fine, simmonds could have gotten same for his 5k slash/spear at the end of the third.

These type of plays happen frequently enough and best way is to call a penalty when caught vs fining these guys 5k which is like 20$ to them

Head shot and a leg shot are a big non comparable for me

Edmundson got hacked down and out of pride went back and gave Simmonds a shot (with Chiarot). Simmonds casually, with his back turned, just went away. Edmundson didn't come at him incensed. If that was a guy like Kerfoot, he'd have got absolutely mugged by Edmundson. You could see Edmundson didn't really want it. And Chiarot already learned his lesson. Got embarrassed and Simmonds let up on him. The notion that Simmonds would hide is silly lol it's a 5-1 win. You gain nothing with a fight in that situation. Edmundson, Chiarot, Weber ...they can all get it tonight if they want it and the game dictates it. Simmonds will tune them all up and they know it. Guy is an absolutely nasty piece of business for 185lbs, and guys in the league know that. Pretty sure Simmonds gave a little "see you next game gesture" towards the bench at the end

No it won't no blood no foul if the same thing happens again he will get the same fine , that how DOPS works . That exact same thing happens a dozen times a night at both ends every game with zero response from DOPS .
