Haven't people been clamoring for Bedard to be moved to Wing for a while? A big reason I think he hasn't is the Hawks didn't have a 2nd line Center, and with Bedard on Wing, that means no first line center either. So essentially Dickinson is the only true Center on the roster at that point, in which case, giving Dickinson a go on a line with Bedard seems... ok.

I fully support getting Bedard away from the center position. Don't understand why it took this long? Wing is perfect. less defensive responsibility, less ground to cover to get to the offensive zone.

I like him paired with Dickenson since he is far and away the best center on the team.

Come on...our weak offense makesevery goalie we play look like a Vezina candidate.
You know they dredged up that slogan from a few years back...ONE GOAL...only then it meant striving to get back to a Cup rin (even though we knew that was fantasy) ...but Now the slogan takes in LITERAL meaning cause if the Hawks score 1 Goal that is the load for the night!

The concern for Bedard is he has only on 54 shptscon goal ..

Avg= 3 shots per game 3 goals in 18GP this season

BUT shooting% only 5.6%..


If you go back and add last 14GP last season,he only has 4 goals over lastx32xGP and a shoring %just above 4.2%

32 games is a long tome to generate just 4 goals into the net past and goalie if you are a top line NHL player.


Especialky since he was drafted for his Generational shot and goal scoring.

The only 2things I can think of as to why this is hOoenong to hom are:

1.He is Not gettibg enough hogh danger slotcshotscoff...too many are from perimeter or wide of tge center skit better scoring area.

2.He is not getting enough solo clear grade A break-aeays or 2 on1 transition chances..

Put these 2 observations together and no NHL player will score much 5x5 and no NHL player except those with great 1 timers from the dots is going to snipe goals onthe Pp...

In NY case a 4.2 shooting %over lastc32GP is just notvacceprablexfor any player ona top 2 line..maybe for a 4th liner.

So Bedard has either got top hos shots per gane average by more than double to score more goals at such a low finish rate....or keep the same about 3 shots on goal per game rate but finish at Bout double his pace now.
