I kind of want a big lose. If we come out with a 4-1 win this may not be good for the rebuilt. If we get spanked 6-1 then MM will see this isn’t our year and 12 NHL draft picks are just too hard to compete with. I’m still on the sell Ando, Swick, Misa and Parsons (I think his value is growing) train. The best thing to happen would be Ellis and another young guy (Valetini please) come and force MM to move the vets for the young guys to get ice time.

I find it difficult to disagree....carry on with the rebuild.
Don't get sidetracked again. We don't need really high draft picks since with the new NCAA agreement that mid round picks can bring top players.
A 6th round pick is the new 2nd or 3rd rounder.

What does a rebuild look like now when every other week they have the players they drafted finally reporting? I have no idea what to make of this season. Trading Rehkopf and the NCAA thing were great for the rebuild. The timing was perfect. Also this team reminds me of some weird moneyball situation. Is it Jussi, or some weird metric us normals aren't seeing? Does Chromiak get on base???

Ummm! Can we beat London please and still continue with the rebuild? We can lose to a bunch of other teams.

What if we win big tonight? Maybe its to enjoy the ride rather than posting daily about the need to deal the vets?

In a fairly strange move that potentially has something to do with an OHL trade the Trenton Golden Hawks have traded/ sold Kitchener prospect Jacob Xu for a PDF.
This is one of the best 16 year old dman in minor JR.
This is OHL ready imo but did not want to lose his NCAA eligibility due to his Harvard commitment so something is up here.

might just want to play closer to home/Toronto area. Not much to do in Trenton.
USHL rights were traded earlier in the year as well

I imagine the thought process is that if he wasn’t going to the OHL his value would be my much more then a PDF. I googled Jacob Xu and couldn’t find any info on this trade. He looks to be having a decent year in Trenton and the youngest player on the team. No way he is coming to the Rangers to make 9D. Something would have to give in order for him to come. I could see him being traded in the OHL but my preference for sure is that Rangers sign him and move out Ando which basically gets you Xu and a bunch of picks for Ando….

Something is brewing i just don't have all the details other then they sold him to King Rebelion today knowing they were going to lose him.
It would not shock me at all if he is being included in a trade to acquire a big name or replace an outgoing player.

I’d rather see him replace an outgoing player.

Well if you read any of the Knights Forum you have NO CHANCE as the current roster for the Knights is the GREATEST Junior Team ever assembled in the history of organized Junior hockey.
Thankfully they actually play the games rather than go off a fan forum. Good luck should be a good game!

I honestly feel a "spanking" coming on tonight. This is a stacked team with 12 NHL draft picks on the team. I feel this is a better Knights team than that "team of the century" that had Corey Perry and Company.

Their heads are big enough, don't make them any bigger. According to their forum the Knights are the team of the millennium and are going to bring the Rangers down to earth tonight. If this does'nt happen there won't be enough crow to go around in London LOL

If Xu is coming this year, he won’t be making it 9D.

Spitballing here:

Going forward, a year from now, would 08’s Bilecki (2nd rounder who been impressive) and Xu (ranked late 1st round), make one or both of 07’s MacNiel (4th rounder)and Schneider (late round) expendable?

I think so. That’s the type of world we’re in now. Excess OHLers means assets to trade for picks.

Assume we trade Andonovski. If Xu reports this year (if that’s what going on), or even next, moving out MacNiel, who’s shown he’ll be a good D in this league, leaves us with a D looking like this:

Chromiak. Reid.
Dirracolo. Campbell.
Bilecki. Xu.
Schneider.

Six of those seven are back next year. Work in an 09 and/or an import, and…….

No doubt it’s a very deep team this year in London with some very good fortune on returning players. However so far watching the team play they still have some “coming together” to do. They have a chance to be a special team and I’m confident Dale will figure it out. But right now they are in a bit of a transition with players going in and out of the lineup.

The lack of respect shown by some for other programs and teams is embarrassing and appalling quite frankly.
