We have a lot of players that consistently make poor decisions with regard to positioning, passing, etc. Hypothetically that's coachable, but the underlying issues there must make it difficult.

B:Everything after the first, Tennyson playing for an nhl club, the horrendous PP
U: Going to the Yotes game and could see the 7th loss in a row in person.

The obvious:

This team needs to come out guns blazing and win their next game, or a serious free fall in the standings may commence. I know, I know...the playoffs seem damn near certain given history, but a 6+ game losing streak will make things really close come April. They need to wake up, and play their asses off. Today was one of the most pitiful efforts I've seen all year.

Skinner finished the game with Mittelstadt. If that is a thing going forward you can say goodbye to Skinner being productive.

Absolutely correct. The streak is dead, and if we're all honest, we weren't playing great hockey in a lot of it. The last time we got our asses kicked, it was at SJS, and we rebounded to start some good hockey at LAK. We play LAK Tuesday. Get back to pressure and smooth passes guys.

Hope there was a better reason than just "Girgs' turn" to sit him. To get a better second scoring line I would try...

Skinner-Eichel-Pominville
Thompson-Mittelstadt-Reinhart

Get 10-22-28 back together and give the last line (Sheary-Rodrigues/Sobotka-Okposo) the least TOI. Have to wait on some healthy D-men coming back. Work on defensive awareness in practice, back-checking of course, and PP set up needs to change.

The worst part is that we have to wait until Tuesday to play again...

Still well over .500, let's get back on track next week.

The only defense that would be an obvious improvement is McCabe for Tennyson. Scandella hasn’t been better than 82 this season. And everyone wanted Pilut up.

Question..do you think there would be ANY chance of somebody picking up Bergland and Sobotka if sent to Rochester and Buffalo brought up Nylander and Smith/ Oloffson?

NHL gms live in their memories more than you'd think. I wouldn't be surprised.

Good i was hoping someone would say that..I mean if Nylander is ready along with Smith/ Oloffson who are both 23 i don't think they can be worse and obviously better skill set along of course shedding contracts
