I feel like we're seeing good things out of Miller but people want to keep pointing out perceived flaws, I don't really get it.

He has never been a hugely physical player, he never will, that was never his game, yet he does use his size and strength to force guys to the boards and win battles and he's coming along pretty dang nicely this year in a lot of ways.
Maybe enjoy a player for what they do well instead of complaining that they're not all superstars at their positions

People have “their guy” and they need to put down the Rangers that they perceive to stand in their guy’s way. It’s exhausting, and utterly inapposite to the concept of fandom.

I know I'm going to be in the minority but I'm not a fan of Merzlikins telling his guys to basically stop playing. I'm cool with the salute or whatever (I wouldn't do it, but it's harmless I guess) but no one wants to get shut out. There was nothing particularly special about this shutout for Shesterkin so I'm not really sure why Merzlikins felt like he needed to tell his guys--who, again, don't like getting shut out--to just take it. I wouldn't like it if Shesterkin randomly did that.
I 100% agree with this.

I agree with you completely. I still don't understand what happened there. If this was some sort of milestone game for Shesterkin I'd get it but I'm just confused more than anything else.

All is well. another 3 point game for Fox and Panarin. Fox is Amazing.

Kreider is in full Alpha Beast mode. I love it. He's doing everything.

Laf backchecked and created the opportunity for Fox to do Fox things. Laf was physical too.

We played like men and were rewarded with our best game of the season.

Our top4 is really good. Our 3rd pair is still a nightmare. Lundkvist was activated on offense but it's scary watching them in our zone.

Kakko... I don't know what he has to do to get on the board...

Shesty with a much deserved shutout. He was good but I didn't even think he was 'locked in' as we've seen in previous games.

Hunt showing why he’s an everyday 4th liner. Some continue to dislike him for some weird reason. Happy they were able to Sack up without Reaves in the line up as well.
I really dislike Greg McKegg. He’s like a case of the clap. Just when you think he’s gone, he’s back and it begins to be an irritation again.
I’d rather see Ruesschoff/Richards/Gettinger etc
I’d rather see pretty much anyone. Not Barron though, I don’t think it’s in his best interest to play 4th wing when they are grooming him as a center, more then likely for the 3rd line.

Poor Ryan Strome.

I still don't see how he has a long-term future on this team because of the cap considerations, but Ryan Strome had himself a hell of a game tonight. He was a monster on the forecheck more than a couple of times, had a really active stick, and was shooting the puck both more often and more effectively than usual. The cutesy bullshit was gone from his game tonight. He was overshadowed by other guys who had even better games tonight (Shesty, Fox, Kreider, Bread), but I have to give him credit when he brings it like this.

On an unrelated note, I wish we could tweak player ratings like in video games. Laf and Kakko both had good games, but Laf had a bit of a "bull in a china shop" mentality, and rushed his plays a lot. Kakko is so in control and deliberate. If we could give Kakko 20% of Laf's intensity and we could give Laf 20% of Kakko's patience, I think both players would dominate the way we all want them to.

KAM’s slapper is really brilliant. It’s just too bad that slappers are pretty much a thing of the past.

Poor Ryan Strome.
Pretty easy to rack up secondary points on our PP when it’s going.
I think I could put up about 30-35 pts If all I had to do was pass to panarin or Fox while the other team has 1 less man on the ice.
Not a shot at Strome. He’s played well for us, but on any other team he’s likely a 40-45 pt guy that’s has decent wheels, and average to poor defensive play.
100% will likely be overpaid and not worth his next deal
