Post-Game Talk: We win.

The strategy of getting outshot 2-1 and outscoring your opponents with ridiculous shooting percentages is awesome. THAT is how great coaches win games.

In general yes, but when the game was tied/close it was even. Tonight was mostly about score effects and the PK.

He said that he's never satisfied so he always expects more out of everybody on the team, coaches included, but that since he became GM and named MT as head coach, he's done a great job along with the rest of the coaching staff.

Very diplomatic answer, but what do you expect? We have a winning record, we're gonna make the playoffs and will probably hold home advantage. Even if he sees what we're seeing, and he's not happy, he's not gonna go public with that.

I'm fairly certain he sees what we see.
He can't be too enamoured with our lack of killer instinct.
I find it FN annoying when we let clubs back up off the mat.
Twice in a row now against Detroit bone head plays create that crack... :help:

No matter how they fare in the playoffs the Habs have 45 wins and 97 points which is in my books a very solid season.

Mike Weaver ... +11 in 14 games with Montreal.

What an insane stat. He's also been contributing offensively in the last few games. He's playing so well. Definitely a solid pick-up by MB. He's a good veteran D and a right hand shot too. He's on my to-sign list.

Poor Leaf fans ...... maybe they can gather in Maple Leaf square and watch Montreal in the first round?

Nobody asked about Subban?

Tremblay did. MB said that despite having some rougher patches, Subban is still having a good season and that he's still young, therefore he has things to work on. They're doing a lot of work with him to bring him to that next level where he's a true #1 that plays an all-around game. I'd be totally fine with this answer if Subban hadn't already proved he can handle all the duties that come with being a #1 d-man. Oh well.

People saying that us winning against a depleted Wings team is meaningless should take a good look at the context.

the Wings have been on on a tear recently. they only lost to us a few weeks ago, and to us tonight. This depleted lineup managed to beat strong teams because of their work ethics and motivation.

I think sone credit are in order.

They won the second of back to back games. Won two games where Subban did not have much positive impact and got hurt a few times. Not something I would have expected through the first 60 games.

Galchenyuk and Eller looked better. Bouillon looks OK with Weaver, Bourque had some chances, there's no one to criticize.

Therrien is not playing Subban but then he was hurt by shots and he's not playing as he normally does, offense or defense. Habs don't need the points, they could rest him a game or two so he can pick up in the playoffs.

My only criticism is that they may be peaking too soon. I'd complain about the defense but they seem to be able to do it when they need to, and I'd rather see laziness with a lead than an inability to turn it on when needed.

Credit given...
We played fairly solid most of the night.
Need to stop opening the door for no reason.
Lots of positives to take out of our last two efforts.
Hopefully when everyone is back healthy we can clean that up. :handclap:

No. Can't let Leafs fans get together. Always ends in tears.

Delicious tears of unfathomable sadness.

Emelin really had some big hits tonight. Wings locker room must of smelled like a BenGay factory:laugh:

Has Bouillon ****ed off to no one likes you and you shouldn't be playing ville yet ?
