On the first Vegas goal, Dach made a bad pass in the offensive zone that led to the breakout, but that was a 3v3 breakout that should have been stopped. The mistakes are more on Xhekaj (for being dangled out) and Newhook (for losing his man). Dach covered his guy defensively and made sure he was not a factor. The second goal is mostly on Laine for losing the puck.

Fans are too hard on Dach (and other players).
They showed the second goal on RDS and pointed out that Dach was playing as a winger along the boards and not as a center on that play.
His job was to cover the area where the shot ended up coming the top of the slot.

The structure we have played with over the last 3 games is as good as any team in the league. Yes, there are mistakes but they continue to play the right way. Who knows how long it lasts but I am enjoying and I want to say that Emil Heineman makes me question my sexuality, what a f***ing stud he is going to be.it doesn’t matter
Same. Doesn’t even matter that he’s so gd fugly

HMMmmm How interesting lol..
It's no surprise what's happening with the D right now
And we're all the more better for it as a team

Also I thought Laine was fantastic tonight
Creates an actual 2nd line for us, and THATS been helping a lot too (since it also helped create our new spectacular 3rd line as well lol)

What a game
What a run weve been on
Love yall
Happy New Year's!!
Ghule needs to be more disciplined....24:20 on the ice

it’s crazy to think that we flipped a non NHLer for a guy who was called for when the chips were down at the end of the game vs the best team in the NHL.
I've had to explain to family members who CANT understand how BARRON could possibly bring back CARRIER in a trade like how is it possible

But it's Hughes man, it's another shrewd move weaponizing cap space
Nashville blew their wad this summer and its NOT working out lol
So we swoop in with a helping hand again

It wasn't just Barron for Carrier, it was taking on his 3.7M cap hit since which we can easily absorb and GLADLY TAKE lol

And it's clearly paying off HUGE dividends for us because of a couple things really :
-Just plain adding a competent RD
-shifting Guhle to LD finally where he can shine again and is
-reducing! Savards minutes because he is a DREAM bottom pair RD, and we were killing him playing him RD1 lol

And unrelated to the trade with Xhekaj maturing as a better Dman (tho because of trade now paired with Savard, which is helping him a bit!)

The D , and were overusing the word but there IS no better word lol : is Stabilizing!

Damn, I don't want to be too greedy. So I'm taking back my wish for Jessica Alba to give me a New Year's kiss.
Don't take it back. Dream big! :sarcasm:

In fairness to Dach, we had possession and he was expecting Laine to chip it to him along the boards.

Is Dach a whipping boy on RDS just like this board? TSN's take during the intermission was that the 2nd goal was on Laine.
