That's always how it goes. Every draft that claims to be weak in hindsight always ends up being a strong draft. People need to get over the narrative that just because there isn't a guaranteed #1 guy, it makes the draft weak. Look at 2017. People said weak draft yet out of that weak draft we have a potential generational d-man in Makar, a top line two way center in Nico, Petterson who is another top line center, Heiskanan who is one of the best d men in the league. Plus a million other names. The only one who was a straight up disappointment is Nolan Patrick. That's as good as it gets. This year will be no exception.The lack of quality of the top of that draft class was way overblown. Going to be a lot of good players coming out of that top 10.
