I just can't place McDavid in that category no matter how far below his usual level that he's been.

I'd also add, and I know this might ruffle some feathers, Ekholm on the shit list. He's been an absolute god send for this team the last 2+ seasons but he's been absolutely atrocious the last 10-12 games or so.
Skinner and Bouchard have been atrocious all season, clowns really, but now Ekholm has joined the party.

Not to mention that nobody can piss a drop of anything outside of McDrai. Ryan Nothing Happens, Hyman even though he scored tonight, Arvidsson, the entire bottom 6 who just take skating laps then back to the bench. Just a terrible team surrounding the best player in the league this season. Nobody is having a good year, it's actually quite remarkable.

Agree on Ekholm. Mcdavid absolutely belongs. He has been absolute garbage defensively and average offensively by his standards. It seems like everytime we get scored on Mcdavid is on the ice. Look at Drai he's a monster at both ends. He might win a selke that's how good he has been. If mcdavid put half of an effort that drai puts defensively, we wouldn't be criticizing him. It hurts to say cause mcdavid is my favorite player but it is the truth.

Rodrigue is not even close to ready. Would get absolutely decimated at the NHL level.

Just don't think he has it tbh. Athletically he is gifted in his lateral movement, but he has pretty terrible fundamentals with crease control, rebound control, puck tracking, undersized and mediocre reactive/reflexive ability. I'd be surprised if he ever becomes a starting goalie in the NHL.
