I don't know if we can really say that Skinner is better than Georgiev. Georgiev can be great for stretches too. His stats atm are horrible, but he's on a horrible team. For most of the season, the Oilers have had amazing defensive numbers, and imo that propped up Skinner a lot. During that whole time Skinner's stats were below .900 until the very end of the stretch before this recent collapse. A good goalie would have .910-.920. And the advanced stats have been posted here and they back that up
What we are seeing from Skinner right now is who he really is, without the team in front clicking and limiting chances against. He's an .880 goalie who lucked out by being on a contender
