I have not ever shied away from the fact that I have taken endless joy in the handwringing of us wearing the Whale after 20 years of being called Whalercanes and hearing "Bring back the Whale" and being reminded of how much better hockey was when this team was up there....

So yeah, seeing someone bellyaching over the appropriation of the Whale gaining steam in all aspects, just makes me smile that much more.

I don't think that he does LMAO! When you have a generational talent on your team and guys like Toews/Dach are out, I guess use him as much as you possibly can. Hawks will be surprisingly scary when those two return, though. Lankinen and those Swiss recruits may have allowed Chicago to do yet another quick retool back to contending status.

Here's my problem with this. No one liked the Whalers till after they moved. They had the smallest arena in the league and hardly ever filled it. The on ice history was even worse. Its a flat myth that Hartford supported this team.

Now once they left the Whale logo and team all of the sudden became some martyr in franchise moves
