I think their thought process is they know what they have in Vrana and know he’s not in their long term plans, and they’re really trying to get Lapierre going. Unfortunately Lapierre continues to struggle and the third line in general isn’t great, so it makes sense that they want to change it up. Or maybe I’m overthinking it and it could be as simple as wanting to get Vrana a game, but given they play tomorrow in Chicago and they’re choosing to scratch Lapierre tonight I don’t think that’s the case.I would have thought Vrana would be getting a jersey more often. His productivity is actually pretty good when you factor in his ATOI, which IIRC, is around 10 mins per game.
I think it is all of this. Plus they probably need to start showcasing Vrana for a trade.I think their thought process is they know what they have in Vrana and know he’s not in their long term plans, and they’re really trying to get Lapierre going. Yea, I think Miro has looked pretty solid grinding on the Dowd line. His positioning and decision-making has improved. He’ll probably still need time in Hershey, but I hope he gets time on the Eller line once Ovi returns.I think it is all of this. Plus they probably need to start showcasing Vrana for a trade.
I am now thinking when OV comes back, it could be Vrana getting sent down (if he doesn’t get claimed). Keep Miro and Lappy in Washington. Miro to play and Lappy as 13F.
