Turns out an intern said “good goal” before the war room could get a look, then they tried to call the ref back before play resumed but they had to sanitize the headset so no one could hear.

In the box score they are going to take away Trocheck’s goal because they took away the ensuing penalty. All very de ja vu.

Okay maybe Murray is a bit of a gamble

But we're not getting Keumper or Gibson.

Mrazek was hot garbage when he game here and turned his game around. I think Carolina's strong defense could help a goalie that needs some confidence

The concern with Murray to me isn't necessarily that he's been trending down the last 3 years, but more that he's on the books for 5 seasons.

I believe this team's forwards and defenseman are as good if not better than the 06 team

I don't think we have the goaltending to win though.

I would go YOLO and see if Ottawa would give up Murray for an expiring Reimer or Mrazek.

Dude wasn’t anything special his last few seasons in Pittsburgh, signed that big 4 year $25 mil deal with Ottawa and is posting an .882 sv % and you think we should trade for him?

The blueline view was inconclusive if Aho's skate blade managed to stay onside when the puck crossed or not, guessing that's what they went off to make the decision. And if it's inconclusive the call on the ice stands.

I'm unironically ok with our 3 headed monster right now. I actually think Reimer is solidly in 3rd based on this season. I've liked Ned. I also unironically think Ned neutralizes forechecks better than any goalie I've ever seen, and might be a "fancy stats" buster since they usually say that the more a goaltender handles the puck the worse the outcome. Or maybe he's just been good for the few games I've seen of him and will eventually pass the puck right to an opponent and get scored on. Who knows.

It was offside but since Torts challenged two separate offsides calls that were about half an inch offside and had very little to do with the actual goal, it’s a good goal and Torts can go f*** himself.
