Every goalie in the NHL gives up the occasional bullet shot from plus snipers. The fact that he stood strong through OT and in the shootout was a good sign. He'll need more of those, of course.

Occasional, sure. But a couple of times a game is a bad game. I'm just saying that's not "worlds better" than what Reimer's giving us. Both of them have been around replacement level.

1st game: He gave up two breakaway goals. "Sure he wasn't sniped, but you can't give up breakaways in the NHL."
2nd game: He gives up two snipes but zero in the shootout. "Sure he stopped NHLers one-on-one, but he got beat from distance."
