Sometimes Necas reminds me of a worse skating Skinner. Likes that puck on his stick. Pass before shoot though. Basically nothing like Skinner.

If you don’t try that goalie,you will never if he is good or no.Give him a real chance and will really know how good is he.We have nothing to loose to give 1 or 2 starts and maybe cause a surprise

You think potentially throwing away 2 games in a super competitive division with TB and FLA by starting a goalie that doesn’t have a strong pedigree is ‘nothing to lose’?

Neither of our available goaltenders have strong pedigrees. Hell, Mrazek doesn't either.
I don't get the complaints. Yes, Ned let in a soft goal. Yes, it sucks that it happened. But it's not as if Reimer hasn't let in some stinkers in his recent games. And unfortunately, those two are our two options at the moment.
So complaining that one got a start over the other, when neither has shown themselves to be better than the other, seems like a waste of breath.

Maybe I misunderstand your post, but GIN ANTONIC was saying giving Bibeau a start isn't a good idea and wasn't commenting on Ned vs. Reimer.

Getting back to the goalie debate real quick.
I kind of disagree that we have a good balance between good and bad goalies right now, because the protective equipment of goalies has been allowed to balloon out of control in size. A competent goalie nowadays can just play the percentages regarding positioning and will stop a fair share of pucks just from taking up most of the net. Leg pads are just stupidly large compared to how they used to be. Chest protectors are even worse. And it's not like the technology isn't there to decrease pad sizes while keeping players safe.
I mean as great a story as it was last year, Ayers coming in and getting the win last year is a red flag that maybe goalies are just too big. Either force more form fitting gear or increase the size of the net.

No thanks on increasing the goal size. We think it's hard to find a goalie now, but even making the net an inch wider and taller would make it even more difficult to find a goalie. The NHL has also decreased the size of goalie equipment already. I know it's easy to just say make equipment even smaller and thinner like the old days but those guys weren't facing muscled up dudes with composite sticks who can easily shoot the puck 80-90 mph on average. Modern NHL skaters equipment is easily "too good" as modern goalie equipment, IMO, although I might be biased.
Last year,he played against Edmonton and Vancouver 2 teams with big offense.He won against Vancouver and relieve the starting goalie and gave only 1 goal for 1 period and a half against Edmonton.Have you ever see Bibeau in the net?

Truthfully I might have seen him play a game for the leafs. Either way, if the org thinks he deserves a shot then he’ll get one. If not then I’m not going to spend my time wondering which one of our minor league zamboni drivers might be able to upgrade our goalie situation.

8 goals and he was healthy at his 2 ankles.That’s why he had 2 surgeries at his 2 ankles.Now,he his in perfect shape.

I know what you mean. It's not that he plays like Skinner, but with the puck on his stick he has Skinner energy. You know something's going to happen, one way or another. The feet start going, the D gets back on their heels a little, and you know he's about 40% likely to fall down.
