Edmonton shouldn’t underestimate the Canucks, they made it this far for a reason and they are going to make it a competitive series.

But the Oilers are playing extremely well coming into this series, if that continues it’s going to be difficult for the Canucks to keep up.

Starting on Wednesday is dumb.

This setup nicely for HNIC on Saturday night in Edmonton for game 3 if they played Tuesday instead.

Dallas is just coming off a 7 game series and plays Tuesday? Pretty silly scheduling.

The NHL does such a terrible job properly marketing itself and this is another example.

Canucks went through similar in 2011, they had to get back out again in 2 days after game 7. It only makes sense to get back out there quickly, Boston had to go get back on it quickly as well tomorrow after game 7. Plus all in the playoff series are playing every other day and we get a Saturday slot on game 6 so it makes no difference.

Dallas and Colorado has to take into account the Nuggets and Mavs as well.

Nuggets play Friday Sunday in Denver so they probably wanted to schedule the games this way so there’s no 2 nights break.

Nuggets and Mavs aren't playing any home games on the dates that would conflict with the Avs and Stars so it is a bit weird. Mavs start on the road, and the Nuggets start at home, which is almost too perfect.

Yes I know the Oilers will immediately decline after these playoffs, this is their last shot in the McDavid era. Canucks, on the other hand, will have more chances with our young talent coming up!
