Vancouver Canucks vs Edmonton Oilers
WCSF

***Mod notes***

We understand this will be an intense series filled with emotions. We ask that you refrain from personal attacks towards others members, fans, and cities.

If you feel someone is baiting or trolling you, please report it rather than reply. Thank you.

Maybe you should pay a bit more attention to the games that you claim to watch. Draisaitl had 2 assists in the first period and missed a large portion of the second and third with illness/injury issues.
You can rack up assists without being an effective player, case in point: Draisaitl last night

Myers got him in the ribs/back and he missed much of the second half, Knobloch said it was due to a recurring equipment issue

That is what the report was , cramps and equipment issues - didn’t skate and is day to day……
Thanks, I watched the game so I knew he was labouring a bit, but the “equipment issue” thing is interesting.

*cough* Mikko Rantanen *caugh*

Define "effective." Do you use fancy stats or the eye test? He wasn't as effective, obviously, after the injury, as he missed most of the second and third periods, but he was good in the first half of the game.

Canucks definitely can win this series and if the Oiler don’t improve they will finish this off early but Fear The Orca is a legitimately funny way to phrase it
So was 'Believe In The Note' the year we won the Cup lol.

I mean Orcas seem to be chill and cool, so it's funny in that way, but I sure as fk would never want to mess with one O_O.

He wasn’t effective before or after

Truth. Derek Roy suddenly pops to mind for some odd reason. And it really doesn't matter how great you are, even the greatest have been known to occasionally s#it the proverbial bed.
Yes, it was only one game. He was good in the 1st round

He was easily the best Oiler forward prior to getting injured. You know this since you were watching the same game.
He really wasn’t , outside of a couple low danger assists he was invisible

Hope the Canucks pull this out and bring about maximum chaos.

Understand the excitement but some fans would do to come back down to earth a bit. Even though the Canucks had a much better game 1 performance that should be cause for hope and excitement for this series, going full Jets and thinking the regular season series and game 1 means this is in the bag could blow up just as badly

Here’s hoping Draisiatl “cramps” his way to another mediocre game! Need a couple wins to get Demko back (hopefully) before the series is lost

Bullshit, with a 4-1 lead you need your defenceman to shut it down, not leave every lane wide open. Skinner was left to dry with zero support
I’m not convinced skinner wouldn’t have given up 3 in the third even if Edmonton played significantly better. I AM convinced Edmonton would have won had skinner played better.

It’s more just the “haha” moment to those that thought Edmonton would dominate this series, it was only game 1 but they already did better than most pundits thought they would
