Makes you realize how meaningless a long regular season schedule really is in the NHL. Players that looked decent in the middle of the season, totally disappear in the playoffs.

But the reality is this Canuck roster is an unfinished product. It's hard to go from the outhouse to the penthouse in one season.....the playoffs give you a crash course on where you have holes.

Oilers have completely neutered the Canucks breakout. Only Hughes can really breakout cleanly or Zadorov when he skates it out.

The rest of them dmen just play it off the boards or try those flip passes and pray.

You gotta ride Hughes hard this game, if I’m going down I’m going down with him playing huge minutes.
I think Myers has been our best RD by a mile. With Hronek and Cole struggling on different pairs, it's hard to consistently generate exits up ice. I honestly think the rest of the D has generally been fine to decent.

TNT coverage calling-out that it was PDG going for a bad change that led to the Oilers entry that caused the rest of the Canucks to get hemmed in on the first goal against.

I fear the Canucks will rue letting Game 4 get away from them.

6 minutes of powerplay time in the first, zip to show for it, and then immediately squandering their late comeback efforts. Instead of a game to close it out on home ice, we have a tied series and momentum resting with the Oilers.

Absolutely, we've got a couple of huge off seasons ahead of us to see if Allvin can clean-up some of our roster and help us leap into the upper echelon of contenders.

Soucy has always been a #5 dman, what do we expect?

This defense is always going to make mistakes, all defensemen make mistakes.

A D corp of Soucy, Zadorov, Myers, Hronek is going to make a lot of mistakes. If anything we've gotten much better performances from a lot of them this playoffs,

We have no stay at home shutdown defenseman.

A guy like Tanev can be apart of the solution but the team needs another high IQ defenseman that can read in transition.
