Their coach realizes that. I went and checked the ice time and the basic adjustment so far is play Ekholm/Bouchard half the game, and half McDavid's line out there every other shift until they're completely gassed and need to take 2 shifts off.

Canucks going to need to figure out how to slow down that line (I have no clue how), or hope that the minutes catches up to them, because the ice is completely tilted whenever that 5 man unit is out there.

I wonder if this could point to a pattern of their top players playing progressively worse in a game as they are overplayed? Maybe that’s also partially the reason why Canucks were able to beat them in the third period last game. Maybe their top players were just gassed.
