It is also kind of funny how quickly everyone's tune changed with regards to Silov. He went from a Conn Smythe hopeful to "just a 3rd string goalie" real quick.

I mean, you gotta admit it's pretty funny. Nobody giving the Canucks any credit outside Vancouver, least of all from Edmonton. Apparently we're just a fraud that can't get shots on net and rode a PDO wave to our position in the standings. What happened?

Canucks thoroughly outplayed the Oilers particularly in periods 2 and 3. The Edmonton PDO kings got a couple of lucky goals on an AHL goalie in the 2nd but were otherwise non-existent. They barely could muster a chance in the 3rd, even when down a goal. Their goaltending wasnt great, but our AHL goalie also played like an AHL goalie.

So have a little humble pie tonight Oilers fans. Start sweating, because you have lots of reasons to.

That was some horrendous goaltending from both sides. RNH choked with Silovs not even looking. A missed call soon after and then Skinner went full Red Light Racicot and it was over.
Difference is after Silovs blew that 4th goal badly Canucks battled harder in front him. He's the 23 year old 3rd string rookie with only a handful of NHL game so you kind of expect that, but after it's just great composure all around. In a normal situation that's when the coach switches goalies.

Nashville was in a way a tougher opponent. Edm doenst play D .. Nash also had saros. Edm has more firepower but team-style wise those preds always felt like they were gona sneak a win
I told everyone the same thing but the experts were so hyped by Oilers offense and McBaby

Edmonton team board is unhinged right now.
I love seeing people who blatantly disrespected the Canucks, whether Oilers fans or not, get humbled a little bit.

What other teams can hold the Oilers to such a low amount of shots, thoroughly outplay them for 90% of the game, and, despite giving them a free three goal lead, still be able to come back and win in regulation?
