Neither team played all that well. I fully expected the Oilers to lose game one but too bad it was due to one of the worst goalie performances I have seen in awhile.

Anyways, i hope they dont call much penalties unless its really warranted. Playoffs should have less penalties and keep the game flowing.

Define warranted though. When is the "line" crossed? And which line? That is the problem with that idea is that now the game becomes subjective at the whim of the refs. The playoffs really shouldn't be called different. And we collectively always complain about the calls in the season.

Both need to be better....and consistent.

My one takeaway from this game is that Colorado and Dallas are licking their chops. Both teams look like absolute doo doo, it just so happens that the Oilers were a little more doo doo than Vancouver on this particiular night. Neither team has a shot against the Central if this game is any indication.
