I think Vancouver are the favs stealing this game. They now beat them 5 straight times and 1 game closer to Demko back.Tonite was a real tough blow to Edm.

This can go one of two ways for the Oilers:

- They take tonight's loss not sitting down, come out firing guns blazing in Game 2 and obliterate the Canucks.

- They take tonight's loss as a gut punch, become completely deflated and fold like a cheap tent.

I don't think this is going to be a grind it out series. Tonight should've been a statement game for the Oilers and now everyone's just gonna be talking about if the Canucks are 'in their head' or whatever.

I expect it to get even chippier out there and composure getting lost. Hopefully not Miller, lmao.

As an Oilers fan, I really applaud the Canucks crowd for their passion and energy. It truly is one of the intangible factors in home ice advantage.
Man this game was so crazy to be at, I have a migraine and lost my voice from all the screaming. I must've chanted Skinner hundreds of times, and I yelled out and asked Kane which table to meet him at at the casino after 😂

A lot of what happened in that game was what a lot of Canucks fans (myself included) anticipated. Canucks didnt have the advantage in net, letting in multiple weak ones while Skinner was simply better and more composed for more of the game. Canucks showed they were better defensively and had more scoring depth (third line producing most of it).

What I didnt expect was for Edmonton to be that bad offensively 5 on 5. They created nothing for more than half the game. I doubt that continues, McDrai etc will get their goals 5 on 5 and break through more. Really hope Silovs can settle in and not give up more gimmes like that, Edmonton is too good to give them free ones.

But yeah, a lot of people here overrated Edmonton defensively if thats what we will see for the rest of the series. That was... not much better defensively than what we saw at the start of the season. Game 2 will be interesting for sure.

Well You couldn’t draw it up any worse for the Oil. Drai looks hurt. Skinner lets in 3 goals that a competent NHL goalie stops. Blown lead. Nuge doing his best to make sure he misses the open net. Vancouver ran their show tonight.
