The problem I have with King is that he brings very little for somebody with top 9 ice time. Of course he does some of the little things but imagine how much better this team would be with a more than average 2nd/3rd line winger. King should play 4th line minutes.

When was the last time that King made something happen, I seriously cant remember. Now that guy is averaging 15 minutes a night. Mind boggling.

I personally think Penner has earned another shot at 2nd line. He has been great in the playoffs. But can we forgive everything he didn't do in the regular season and give him the promotion?

Both King and Penner use their size well these playoffs but Penner has the ability to create scoring chances. Call me an idoit but I always thought that's a top 6 player supposed to do.

King's stick hook on Irwin to allow Carter to get a shot off without a stick in the lane was awesome. Not a play I would think of doing but I will think about it now.

I didn't think anyone was complaining about Pearson. More a little annoyed that Martinez was taken out and questions about possible favoritism towards King. I'm fine with Pearson coming in.

Yes, and no. While they haven't been producing much...they haven't been much of a defensive liability (outside Fraser who was poor last game). Same thing when Richardson filled in for Stoll...yea he got the nice assist...but he also gave Stuart way to much room for his goal.

We need to see some serious emotional investment and intensity tonight. After a lot of games this year, we've heard the Kings say things like "we didn't play our best tonight." Enough of that nonsense. They need to start playing their best, or it's going to catch up to them.
