Canada can't win a Cup.
Also, show some respect ... Lord Stanley's Cup deserves capitalization.
and their coach is Canadian, their gm is Canadian, both owners are Canadian(one of them actually being from Winnipeg)
the team is in Winnipeg, Manitoba which is geographically located in the center of Canada
what's your point lol
Valid points, and question.
Honestly, trying to stir the pot a little...
I've had this conversation in numerous threads now - I don't support the idea of all Canadians supporting whatever Canadian team is left in the playoffs. No judgment towards one that does, I just don't understand it. As a Canucks fan born and raised in Vancouver I view the other Western Canadian teams as rivals and therefore don't want to see them win, just like a Sharks fan (just for example) would still vehemently cheer against the Kings or Ducks once their team is eliminated. Montreal and Ottawa I'm quite ambivalent towards. Toronto, well, best if I just keep my mouth shut...
My point was just to show that I don't understand the 'Canadian cheering for a Canadian team' mentality. That is all.
In all honesty I do like Nashville's team a lot; I have inter-personal connections with Irwin, Sissons, and Johansen. So I'm rooting for them quite heavily.
Lighten up, Francis.because there's less teams over here
only 4 teams in America have cups in the last 10 years so what's your point
I use my phone. I let my home deal with caps. I deliberately avoid using periods for the most part
Valid points, and question.

I have never thought of it from that perspective of hockey fans in Manitoba (and Saskatchewan for that matter). Well said.well you've had a team probably since you were born. I was around 3 or 4 or 5(I don't remmebr the year) when we lost the jets
so I could only cheer for Canadian teams that were in the playoffs. preferably western teams
Frank Seravelli just said ‘people thought he (Mark Scheifele) was going to bust’
What a tool. Nobody said that
It was this is the re-enactment tonight, to appease the Hockey Gawds. Why wasn’t this game yesterday?
He need the bail money I guess. There was a concert.
Damn glad I broke my foot skateboarding last week (I have a job I cant perform with this level of immobility) so I have no problem fitting some 3am playoff hockey into my schedule. Hoping for a tight game with no ref bs

However - if it were the Flames, Oilers, or Canucks in this position right now, would you be rooting for them (having had the Jets back for nearly seven years now)?
