It's not really by choice. I used to read TSN, but then they gave their site an awful overhaul and I stopped going there in protest. Next, NHL.com did their own awful overhaul and I stopped going there for the same reason. Yahoo is one of the few sites left that doesn't have a horribly bloated, tablet-friendly interface. It has a lot of headlines that you scan without any scrolling, as well as easy-to-access standings, scores and stats. I don't read very many of the articles. I mostly just check headlines, start times, scores and standings. It's a good site for those things.

I gotta say i never expected Jets to get this far. 0 playoff history. They had a great season, but i even suspected the Wild might upset them in round 1.

And it's less about just reaching game 7 than the fact that they led most of the series, and seemed to have Nashville more on the ropes than they ever were. So very impressive.

But I still say Nashville wins tonight. 4-2.

I'm a pens fan so my allegiances are not solely geographical.

The jets are the last team from canada and, as a Canadian, I would love to see them win.

If you told me in the summer we'd play the Preds in game 7 of the 2nd round of the playoffs i take that every day of the week. So whatever happens i'll be happy regardless, it's been a successful year in my books.

But man would i love to see us win this game, not just because advancing, but because it's a great rivalry that's going to be fun to watch for years to come and you never know how these things turn out. We might not beat them the next couple times for whatever reasons and then it can easily become another Pens-Caps type thing. If we win tonight it'll always be something to look back at and draw confidence from.

It won't be easy though.. Preds have been my favorite from the West for a while now, not because they were going to win the Presidents trophy or anything like that, but because i knew it was like going to a war with those guys. They've built a very strong belief system for themselves after everything that's happened in the last couple years. So if they pull it off tonight, just gotta tip your hat and say they've earned it.

Anyway, i raise a toast to this great series and may the best team win.
