You really want to move those goalposts to be right on this  . Let’s ignore an entire season for a 4 game sample size.

Why not argue with the other people who share the same sentiment as well? Oh wait…. You won’t
I actually agree that hits by itself are not the sole measure of which team is most physical. But lets also understand why using the whole season is not always the best indication of what is happening now. Kostin, Kane, Desharnais, Ekholm Bjugstad and to a lesser degree Foegele all played only a fraction of the season with the Oilers for example. A guy like Draisaitl tends not to play all that physically in the regular season but always turns up that part of his game significantly in the playoffs. And while you might say this about a lot of players, the intense version of Draisaitl is a wrecking ball.

It would be hard to really have watched this series and conclude that Vegas has any advantage in physical play.

Those same arguments can be used for Vegas and what they went through during the season. Hits are absolutely not a way to show pure physicality, but if someone wants to try using that it’s easy to refute.

Hits, forechecking, tenacity on the puck and ability to fend off the opposition are all things that factor into a teams physical ability.

Vegas 100% was out muscled in 2 of the 4 games in this series, but anyone who has watched them play know that isn’t how they typically play. Similar to how Ed o ton was dominated for the other two games. At worst you can make a case that the teams are similar.

Vegas’a game was built around being a physical team far more than Edmontons was during the season though. Which was the point

You’re from the E???
Yes

Yes
And anyone who watches the Oilers play knows that they are perfectly capable with this line-up of playing a the way they did in those two games. They are a big team with guys who can skate and who don't back down. They also support one another. Vegas has no advantage in that area.

Yes, he's the Oiler hating Canucks fan that lives in Edmonton.
I don’t hate the Oilers, it’s more the fan base. Similar to why most Oiler fans don’t like Vancouver.

Hockey is hockey

to be fair, once upon a time the Canucks were considered a decent team
Both have been shit franchises with shit ownership/management. What Vegas and Seattle have been able to do amplifies that. When was the last time we saw a Canadian team with a decent management group in place?

The Oilers are by far the more physical team in this series and imo that will be an obstacle for them tonight because the refs are going to be eager to blow the whistle.

I really wish I could believe you. But 90% of your posts are being antagonizing towards the team.

And I hated the Canucks as a team when they were full of rats. I don’t even care about them now.

I hoping that Vegas wins but I have a feeling that the Oilers are going to win this game. So I bet $12 bucks on the Oilers, this way I am happy with whatever the result:laugh:

Kane connected with his shot and nothing happened. No injury, no damage, not even blood.

If Pietro had connected the way he wanted, Draisaitl's got a broken arm.

The two are not the same.

Also - who takes Pietro's minutes for game 5?
This is some of the lamest homer logic I have ever waded through.

"My guy didnt cause any harm. Your guy didnt cause any harm, BUT HE WANTED TO!"

Unless Kane was following through (on a dead puck no less) how can you conclude anything but that this was an intentional crosscheck to the face to cause harm?

Both were very intentional and knew what they were doing
