I'm sorry but CBC just switched to this game after the Leafs's collapse and I just find these jerseys and colours so grating. It's really uncomfortable for me - the Vegas sweaters especially. It's like eating a crates worth of asparagus and expelling it the next day. It's hard to smell a colour, but these Vegas jerseys do it for me.

Anyways, hoping for a great game! The Panthers win was very exciting.

After watching Draisaitl and McDavid this period right after the Leaf game, you realize just how superior they are to Marner and Matthews. Every time they are on the ice something happens.

I know this has been obvious to most people who watch the Oilers, but I'm glad more people are starting to realize the difference in the McDavid, Draisaitl, Mackinnons and the other stars in the league. The guys make it happen every single shift.

Oilers are playing great positional hockey in their own end most of the time. They are prone to have people wildly out of position, but they seem to collpase nicely when the shooters let it fly.

I think it's just McDavid and MacKinnon in the league right now that can just flip a switch and will their team to scoring a goal - Draisaitl is much more methodical about it which isn't a slight on him but I think the other 2 are just in their own class.

Disagree. Draisaitl might not make it flashy like those other 2, but he's still a zone entry menace who will just pull up and send a 60 foot sauce through 3 defenders onto a guy's tape. Hell when Draisaitl's on you'll see him set up 4 or 5 of those on the same shift while some guy tries and fails to knock him off the puck for a minute. All while being one of the best finishers in the league.

Draisaitl is more like Ovechkin/Matthews

McDavid and MacKinnon use speed and puck control to create open space and havoc

Mack and McDavid are the only two guys that can just decide they're going to skate through multiple defenders for a highlight reel goal. That said, it happens a lot less often in the postseason against better teams.
