Cassidy must have changed it, Barbashev was on their 4th line in Game 1 at one point. Phil the thrill can’t even make the lineup. Would be great to see playoff Kessel enter this series,

I watch him and I don't see the smarts required yet. Some of that will come with experience, but he literally looked lost and frozen by indecision on the overturned goal. The offensive talent is there of course, but defensively his computer is a bit slow still. Young kid, he'll get better.

He was gifted a PP1 spot, probably the easiest gimme spot in the league all things considered. He still needs to round out his game

They are deep.. they spread Barbs, Howden and Amadio across the top 3 for grit and energy.. Cassidy may be a prick but he can coach..
You have a cold back-up in and it felt like they almost changed their gameplan instead of staying aggressive. I... i just don't understand what their MO was.

The whole two man team thing is so lazy and overused. There's plenty to criticize. No depth isn't one.

The Oilers may not have great goaltending but it takes an entire team effort to look this disinterested and lazy defensively. And to have now laid this kind of egg multiple times in the first two rounds. A total team commitment that includes not only exposed goalies and one-dimensional defensemen but a lack of interest from the two superstars and other highly scoring players up front.
Such a feast or famine team and in general - it takes consistency, over 200’ of ice to win 16 games in the playoffs. There’s a reason even strength production and suppression is used as the more telling metric in analytics than simply tallying up point totals and it very much comes to the fore in the playoffs.
The Oilers will probably win the next game 6-2 but I’m not liking their chances in general to make it through several more rounds.

These threads are always so funny. Posters who aren’t fans of either team doing 95% of the crying and whining about the refs and then follow up that by calling fans of the teams actually playing the biggest whiners 
I wouldn't say bad. It was average at worst this season. Their other guys have shown up plenty this year. Their defensive warts and goaltending has been the biggest issues imo.

Cassidy is a great coach. Perfect fit for this Vegas roster. I think this Vegas team can go all the way this year as long as their goaltending and Mark Stone hold up.
